Terms & conditions

Terms and conditions of sale

These terms govern bookings made on this site. They do not replace the regulation applicable to taxis, which prevails in all cases.

This is a courtesy translation. Only the French version of these legal terms is legally binding.

1. Purpose and scope

These terms apply to any taxi ride booking made through this site with AMB TAXI — Achraf M’Barki. The service is individual public passenger transport provided by a taxi holding a parking authorisation.

2. Booking

A request made on the site is not a contract: it becomes firm on its confirmation by the operator. The customer provides an exact pick-up address and a reachable phone number; a wrong address or an unreachable customer may lead to cancellation of the ride.

The customer is informed that the vehicle may have to wait: beyond the usual tolerance, waiting is charged at the regulated hourly rate in force.

3. Price

Fares are set by prefectoral decree and identical for every taxi in the area. They are not negotiable and do not depend on the operator. The full grid is on the fares page.

Two billing modes coexist:

  • The airport flat fare — between central Paris and Roissy-CDG or Orly. A fixed, mandatory amount, known before departure, independent of traffic and duration.
  • The meter — in all other cases. The price results from the pick-up charge, distance and time, according to the applicable time slot. Any estimate shown on this site is indicative: the taximeter is authoritative.

Regulated supplements are added: €4 for an immediate booking, €7 for a booking in advance, and the per-passenger supplement from the fifth on. No other supplement may be charged: neither luggage, nor card payment, nor approach fee.

4. Payment

Payment is made at the end of the ride, on board. Bank cards are accepted at no fee. A receipt is issued as standard above the regulatory threshold, and on request in all cases.

5. Cancellation

The customer may cancel free of charge as long as the vehicle has not been dispatched to the pick-up point. After that, the booking supplement remains due.

The operator may cancel in case of force majeure, vehicle breakdown or inability to reach the agreed place; they then inform the customer as soon as possible, with no other compensation.

6. Transport, luggage and animals

The number of passengers is limited to the seats authorised by the vehicle registration. Luggage is carried at no extra charge, within the boot’s capacity.

Transport of wheelchair users and guide or assistance dogs incurs no supplement: it is a legal obligation. Other animals are accepted in a carrier, subject to prior agreement.

Wearing a seatbelt is mandatory. Smoking and vaping on board are prohibited. If soiling the vehicle requires specific cleaning, the corresponding costs may be claimed.

7. Liability

The operator has a best-efforts obligation regarding timing: traffic conditions, road events and weather hazards cannot be attributed to them. They are covered by professional civil liability insurance (Insify — contrat n° PNC-047048-RC-H).

Items left on board are kept and returned on proof; failing a claim, they are handed to the lost-property service.

8. Personal data

Data collected during a booking is used solely to carry out the ride. The details of processing, retention periods and your rights appear on the privacy page.

9. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint should first be sent to the operator: [email protected]. Keep the ride number you were given; it allows the corresponding quote to be found.

Paris taxis fall under the Préfecture de Police. Any complaint relating to the profession — refusal of a ride, driver behaviour, compliance with fare rules — can be sent to the competent office:

Préfecture de police — Bureau des taxis et transports publics
36 rue des Morillons, 75732 Paris Cedex 15

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.
