How long to reach Orly?

Orly is much closer to the centre than Roissy — often under 25 minutes from the left bank, outside rush hour. The A6 and A106 carry most of the traffic; it’s in the morning, heading south, that the gaps are widest.

  • Montparnasse15.7 km · 19 to 35 min
  • Gare de Lyon17.0 km · 21 to 40 min
  • Gare du Nord25.3 km · 35 to 66 min
  • Créteil13.6 km · 13 to 24 min
  • Bondy25.9 km · 28 to 53 min

Créteil is only about fifteen kilometres from Orly: from Val-de-Marne, the metered ride usually comes out cheaper than a Paris flat fare.

Orly 1, 2, 3, 4: finding your way

The airport renumbered its terminals. The old names still circulate; here is the mapping: Orly Ouest now means terminals 1 and 2, Orly Sud terminals 3 and 4. The four are linked together, but a terminal mix-up can cost about fifteen minutes on foot with luggage.

Give your terminal number when booking, or failing that your airline: we’ll do the conversion.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Orly cheaper from the left bank?
Because the airport is south of Paris: the left bank is simply closer. It’s the only case where the left-bank flat fare (€36) is lower than the right bank (€45) — the opposite of Roissy, which is north-east.
Which terminals do you serve at Orly?
All four: Orly 1, 2, 3 and 4. Since the airport’s overhaul, the old Orly Ouest and Orly Sud names are no longer used — Ouest maps to terminals 1 and 2, Sud to terminals 3 and 4.
Does the flat fare cover luggage, on the Orly side?
Yes. Luggage carries no supplement for Paris taxis, neither on the flat fare nor on the meter.
And if I leave from Créteil, right next to Orly?
The flat fare only applies to a departure from or arrival in central Paris. From Créteil, the ride is on the meter — over about 14 km, that’s usually better value than a flat fare.
